We introduced our 1st BS6 compliant petrol car, Baleno, in April 2019, which was a complete year in advance from the mandated deadline. This early introduction of BS6 cars in India by Maruti Suzuki is a shining example of the brand’s commitment to the Government of India’s vision for cleaner and greener mobility. Strengthening Green Manufacturing
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the cars we manufacture. Maruti Suzuki is constantly discovering new methods to harness the clean resources which are available in abundance and execute them in their business operations. Recently, Maruti Suzuki commissioned a 5 MW carport style photovoltaic solar power plant at Gurugram facility. It will help meet internal energy requirements at the facility. The solar power plant complements the brand’s efforts to adopt environment-friendly technologies and reduce the carbon footprint.
