underlines our commitment towards a cleaner environment. Our BS6 cars have upgraded hardware and software
along with the exhaust system. The upgrades help achieve better performance, and strict adherence to BS6
The BS6 compliant petrol vehicles can run on BS4 petrol also. The BS6 petrol cars from Maruti Suzuki have
been extensively tested with BS4 fuel and there is no operational concern.
Advantages of BS6
The BS6 compliant petrol vehicles will lead to a substantial reduction of nearly 25% in Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions.

To achieve the stringent emission regulation requirement, Maruti Suzuki has upgraded engine hardware and software with the technological advancement of the exhaust system.

Maruti Suzuki’s BS6 cars have been rigorously tested in actual Indian driving conditions to ensure that they meet the upcoming emission norms without compromising on performance.
Maruti Suzuki BS6 cars could run on BS4 petrol as well, they have been extensively tested with BS4 fuel and there is no operational concern.

As on 31st March 2021, Maruti Suzuki has sold more than 1.6 Million low carbon vehicles with S-CNG and Smart Hybrid technology. This has helped to avoid over 1.3 million tonnes of CO2 emission.
