Maruti Suzuki is the market leader in passenger car segment in India and drives the nation with some of the most reliable petrol engines in the country. Come 2020, the company has decided to leave out the diesel engines from its line-up, focusing solely on its range of K series petrol engines.

The K-series petrol engines from Maruti Suzuki truly realize the spirit of driving and optimizing engine performance through innovative design techniques. They provide a peppy performance and crisp throttle response with linear power delivery, for an unmatched driving experience both in cities and highways. The K-series engines are some of the most efficient petrol engines in the country, offering high mileage of up to 24.12 Km/l in certain AGS variants.

Variants

Currently offered in four different options across various segments, the K-series petrol engines made an energetic drive accessible to all the customers, inspiring real connections for a great driving experience.

K10B Petrol Engine:

The K10B is a 1.0-Litre K-series BS6 compliant petrol engine which promises unlimited fun and high fuel efficiency of up to 21.7Km/l* in S-Presso. With a peak power of 50kW and max torque of 90Nm, it boasts a brilliant, joyful driving performance.

K12 Petrol Engines

Maruti Suzuki offers two variants of the 1.2-Litre petrol engine.

The K12M is a 1.2-Litre K-series BS6 compliant petrol engine offers an exhilarating drive with a peak power output of 61kW@6000rpm and maximum torque of 113Nm@4200rpm. It delivers an exceptional fuel efficiency of 21.21 Km/l* for both the manual and AGS variants in Swift.

The K12N 1.2-Litre Dual Jet BS6 petrol engine is also on offer and comes with Smart Hybrid technology to offer Idle Start-Stop, Brake Energy Regeneration and Torque Assist functionalities. The engine provides a smooth and powerful drive, while enhancing the fuel efficiency.

K15B Petrol Engine:

1.5-Litre K-series BS6 compliant petrol engine is a bigger, bolder and more powerful product from Maruti Suzuki. This new engine offers superior power & performance along with enhanced fuel efficiency, improved NVH characteristics & engine cooling performance. K15B is also available with Smart Hybrid technology that enhances the fuel efficiency of the car dramatically.
