But that’s not all. Along with manufacturing cars that offer enhanced safety, we also undertake several initiatives to drive awareness about road safety, all in a concerted effort to make mobility safer for all.

Safety Features in Our Cars
The first integral cog is integrating functional and important safety in Maruti Suzuki cars to keep you safe on the move. Take, for instance, the NEXA Safety Shield that comes as standard in NEXA cars.
It is a fundamental set of active and passive safety features to ensure your safety on the move. These features include ABS + EBD for safe and effective braking, dual front airbags to safeguard passengers from impact due to a collision, seatbelt pre-tensioners with force limiters, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, seatbelt reminder, speed warning system, pedestrian protection compliance, and full frontal, frontal offset and side impact compliance.
The New Age Baleno marks the start of a new phase of safety in Maruti Suzuki cars with the introduction of segment-first features like 6 airbags*, Head Up Display*, 360 View Camera*, and ESP.
Initiative for Road Safety and Awareness
This is the other crucial side of the coin. Being a responsible and trusted car brand, Maruti Suzuki became the first car brand to lead the initiative on road safety education and awareness that too decades ago. The opening of ever expanding network of Maruti Suzuki Driving schools providing tech-enabled safe driving training to all has been one of the biggest initiatives in this direction. Some of the other initiatives include:
• Training for Tribal Youth in partnership with Tribal Welfare Development Department, Govt. of Gujarat
• Traffic Safety Management System wherein radars and cameras have been installed at key junctions of Delhi to encourage safer driving
• Catch Them Young, an initiative that creates road safety awareness among school children
