How Automated Gear Shift (AGS) works?

In the AGS technology a normal manual transmission unit is transformed into an automatic transmission by automating the gear shift without any driver intervention. This is achieved with the help of a Transmission Electronic Controller Unit that operates the Intelligent Shift Control Actuator, an electric-hydraulic actuator that automatically performs the clutch and gear shift operations. This system intelligently assesses the dynamic driving conditions, instantaneous power/torque requirement based on the driver intention and automatically adjusts the gear shifting to give optimal driving pleasure and performance.

• Dual Drive Mode: The technology lets you switch between Automatic and Manual Mode. So, you can choose your drive mode as per your preference. This helps you cruise easily when the traffic is erratic, especially during rush hours.

• Creep function: In D/R mode, the vehicle can move at low speed without pressing the accelerator after releasing the brake pedal. This function is especially helpful in the slow-moving traffic.
