Maruti Suzuki signs agreement with Gujarat government for land purchase
New plant to take manufacturing capability to 2 million units by 2015-16
Gandhinagar, 2nd June, 2012: Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India Limited today signed State Support Agreement (SSA) with the Government of Gujarat for purchase of land near Mehsana to set up an all new manufacturing facility.
The Agreement was signed by Mr. Shinzo Nakanishi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Mr. Maheshwar Sahu, Principal Secretary (Industry and Mines), Government of Gujarat in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi.
