	Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India Limited today announced the following changes in the prices of its cars (Ex Showroom-Delhi):
	The introductory prices for the A star, which was launched in November 2008, were withdrawn. The new prices  of A star, all variants are higher by Rs 10,000. The prices of Swift Petrol LXi are increased by Rs 5,000. For Swift VXi and ZXi variants the prices are  increased by Rs 6,000. All variants of Swift Diesel will be more expensive by Rs 6,000. The new prices for Swift DZire (all variants in Petrol and Diesel) are higher by Rs 7,000. Prices of all variants of SX4 sedan are increased by Rs 9,000. There is no change in prices of M800, Omni, Alto, WagonR, Zen Estilo, Gypsy, Versa and Grand Vitara.
	The price increase has been necessitated due to the increase in input costs and foreign currency changes. The new prices are effective from 27th January 2009.
