The southernmost tip of the country. It is here
that the trio - Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea
meet. As the water lashes its shores, it is actually possible to
distinguish the three by the colour of the water. The uniqueness
of the beach is the multicoloured sand.
Situated in the district of Nagercoil, Kanyakumari is replete with
temples. Of particular interest is the Kumari amman temple the deity
from whom the place derives its name. This temple is dedicated to
Goddess Parvathi. The various legends associated with it tell us
the story of the Goddesses quests. Another very famous temple here
is the Suchindran temple, known for its repository of art treasures.
