Ganapatipule - In serene surroundings
     
  Watch the waves lashing against the shores, while the clouds above move gently and the palms sway to the tunes of the breeze at - Ganapatipule. It is one of the most spectacular beaches along the Konkan coast.

Ganapatipule has another attraction, which is, the temple of Lord Ganesha. The 400 years old Ganapati idol here is believed to have sprung from the soil. The uniqueness of this temple is that the idol faces west, unlike other deities which face east.
 
         
   
         
  It is situated approximately 375 km. south of Mumbai, in the district of Ratnagiri, along the Konkan Coast.

Ganapatipule is a perfect holiday setting. With the sun and sea for company the best way to spend time here is to laze around and enjoy the peace.

  Malgund 
This is the native place of the famous Marathi poet, Kavi Keshavsoot. The poet’s house in the village has been converted into a hostel. There is a memorial built for the poet by the Marathi Sahitya Parishad.
  Velneshwar
Situated near the Shastri River is the village of Vineshwar. It is beautiful village with a picture perfect setting. It comes alive during Sivaratri when pilgrims throng the Shiva temple of this village.
  Ratnagiri
About 25 km away from Ganapatipule is the important town of Ratnagiri.
  Jaigad Fort
At a distance of 35 kms lies the Fort which offers a spectacular view of the sea and the village life.
  Marleshwar
Is 60 km. from Ganapatiple. It is famous for its Shiva temple. The waterfall here is an added attraction.
